Causes of Hip Pain

20+ medical conditions may affect your hip muscles, joints, bones or nerves. Some common conditions causing pain are:

  • Total Hip Replacement

Post a total hip replacement surgery patients suffer from loss of functional activities (walking, climbing stairs, running etc,), stiffness, loss of range of motion and pain around the hip area. It usually occurs in old age, or due to some injuries at hip joint.

Post operative physiotherapy is a mandatory process which helps in increasing the muscle strength, range of motion of the hip joint and helps patients regain the functional activities.

Complete rest is generally recommended and with online physiotherapy, you can get treated from the comfort of your home.

  • Fracture Neck Femur

A fractured neck femur is either caused due to some accidental injury or old age, where osteoporosis of the bone weakens it to the degree that it can’t handle the body weight.

Generally, immobilization is required for a few days leading to stiffening of the joint and loss of range of motion.

Physiotherapy can help with regaining the range of motion, reducing the stiffness, pain and regaining functional activities.

Generally, this condition is treated across several weeks and hence, online physiotherapy makes it really convenient to consistently adhere to the treatment from the comfort of home.

  • Hip Dysplasia

Hip dysplasia or DDH (Developmental displacement of the hip) is caused due to the femur (thigh bone) moving out of its position in the hip bone and growing unevenly. It generally occurs in children and leads to uneven length of legs, limping, etc.

Treatment is managed either conservatively (without surgery) or by surgery (Reconstruction). In both cases, physiotherapy is very important to regain strength, range of motion, and daily life functional activities.

With online physiotherapy, you can have a hassle-free treatment experience. (No Travelling/ Parking/ Waiting Time)

  • Trochanteric Bursitis
